PaleyFest LA 2016: More Details on Scream Queens Season 2
The “Scream Queens” panel took place yesterday at PaleyFest LA 2016, which means we have a few more details of what to expect during the show’s sophomore season. Interestingly, the cast learned how their existing characters would figure into the plot at the same time as the PaleyFest audience.
Here are the highlights courtesy of TVLine:
Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, and Glen Powell were all confirmed as returning for Season 2. The “Chanels” — last seen sentenced to a hospital for the criminally insane — will have been legally exonerated and accepted to medical school, executive producer Brad Falchuk said. Curtis’ Dean Munsch, meanwhile, has a new mission: buying the hospital where Roberts’ Chanel Oberlin and her posse have enrolled, with the goal of taking on incurable cases and fixing the broken system. Helping her out will be forward-thinking physician Zayday Williams (Palmer’s character).
Murder and mayhem will ensue within the walls of the hospital, where Michele’s Hester Ulrich will play a role. The actress stoked the internet rumor flames by teasing that One Direction’s Harry Styles would factor into the Season 2 bloodshed. Niecy Nash will see her character (Denise Hemphill, a fan favorite) join the FBI and become an integral part of the new investigation.
A few more tidbits can be gleaned from PaleyFest’s Twitter feed:
