DVD and Blu-ray Releases: March 15, 2016
It’s apparent today just how spoiled we’ve all been over the past few weeks, friends. While our recent lists have been rather substantial, unfortunately we only have 7 releases dropping this week. Next week will be a bit slow as well, but after that things pick up again so bear with us, faithful readers.
To begin, for a little while I had been seeing that The Lady in White would be coming out this week on Blu-ray, but it looks like we’re going to be waiting until June 21st to see that on your local shelves. I remember seeing this as a kid and being shocked that Mona from “Who’s the Boss” could actually be kind of terrifying instead of just a bad grandma.
There is a 5-movie Boogeyman collection coming out this week. What’s cool about this set is that it doesn’t cover just the 2000’s franchise but also includes two older movies. That’s not bad for the cost either.
If you were a teenager who spent a lot of time watching the movie channels on cable in the early to mid-1990’s, you inevitably saw My Boyfriend’s Back at some point in time. As a matter of fact, since at that time there was only one HBO channel, one Cinemax, etc., you probably saw it a hundred times. Just in case Traci Lind isn’t burned into your retinas like she is mine, My Boyfriend’s Back will be getting its Blu-ray release this week for your viewing pleasure.
We even have a classic this week: 1984’s Monster Dog, featuring the seemingly immortal Alice Cooper. This will be getting both a Blu-ray as well as a DVD release.
