John La Tier’s Edgar Allan Poe Adaptation The Tell-Tale Heart Finally Getting Released Next Month
Despite being filmed way, way back in 2011, John La Tier’s adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart isn’t getting released on DVD until next month. So yeah, I really hope that it was worth the wait after all these years.
It’s unfortunate that it went so long without a release, especially when you keep in mind the big name cast: two-time Oscar nominee Peter Bogdanovich, Patrick John Flueger, Jacob Vargas, and of course, the always lovely Rose McGowan. That sure sounds like a bunch of actors I would love to watch in a movie.
Courtesy of Alchemy, The Tell-Tale Heart hits DVD and VOD on April 5.
Synopsis:
A haunting account of a tormented man, haunted by the heart of a man he murdered, who continually re-admits himself into a medical facility in a futile attempt to escape from his pending madness. Set in contemporary New Orleans, The Tell-Tale Heart is based on Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story of the same name.
