Ryan Murphy Talks American Horror Story Season 6 Details

As always, “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy was on hand at PaleyFest over the weekend, and it was during the show’s panel that he revealed some clues and information about the upcoming sixth season. Oddly enough, however, even Murphy himself doesn’t yet know the theme. Read on!

Per Deadline, Murphy revealed at the event that he and his “American Horror Story” writing team are currently hard at work on two potential themes for the next season, which is something they’ve never done before. At the moment, they haven’t chosen which one to go with, but the two ideas share something in common.

[Horror] often deals with the innocence of children, and their wide-eyed way into it,” said Murphy. “Both [Season 6] ideas we’re working with have elements of children.”

Murphy also noted that most of the key players in “American Horror Story: Hotel” will be back for Season 6, including Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Matt Bomer. At the moment, Lady Gaga is the only one to officially sign on.

“American Horror Story” Season 6 will be set in two different time periods, but primarily in the present.
