One Step Closer to a Boa vs. Python Video Game?
A brief little story that I read recently could open the door for a myriad of video game and broadcasting possibilities. The sci-fi channel currently known as Syfy and prolific video game publisher THQ have struck a deal “to develop original properties for use across all media platforms.” But where does S.S. Doomtrooper fit into all this, I ask?
According to The Wrap, in addition to creating new joint properties, the two will also work to develop certain THQ video game properties and adapt them for Syfy. THQ’s Wii game de Blob, about a colorful blob that saves a city from corporate tyranny, has already begun to be developed for television under the Syfy Kids banner. I had no idea Syfy had a Syfy Kids banner. Did you?
Syfy also broadcasts World Wrestling Entertainment programming, whose video games are published by THQ, so we can all begin crossing our fingers that this somehow in some form brings about Smackdown vs. Raw vs. Mansquito.
