3D Remake of Italian Horror Film Demons in the Works?
Released in 1985, the gory horror flick Demons was a collaboration between some of the top names in Italian horror, including Dario Argento (co-writer and producer), Lamberto Bava (director), and Sergio Stivaletti (special makeup effects). Reportedly, the three want to revive Italian horror, and a remake of Demons may be in our future.
In an interview with Dark Universe Horror Database, Stivaletti broke the exciting news.
“We have been speaking about a new Demons movie for a short time now. Dario, Lamberto and myself – maybe a 3D version of Demons, a remake that features the old crew,” said the makeup effects artist. “We all wish Italian horror could return again, but we know how unlikely that is.”
“We go to conventions across the world and people remember our work,” he added. “So there is an audience out there for a new Demons movie – we are all sure of it.”
Could be kinda cool, no?!
In Demons, a group of people are trapped in a large movie theater in West Berlin that is infected by ravenous demons who proceed to kill and possess them one-by-one.
