Before I Wake Gets Another Release Delay
Filmed way back in 2013, Oculus director Mike Flanagan‘s Before I Wake has been given a handful of release dates throughout the course of the past year, and Relativity Media’s financial issues have been to blame. The latest date attached to the film was April 8, though today brings word that it’s been moved again.
Speaking with Bloody Disgusting, a rep for Relativity noted that Before I Wake will not be hitting theaters on April 8, as we suspected, and that no new date has been chosen at this time. For what it’s worth, Wikipedia now has the release date listed as October 16, though apparently that hasn’t been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the film heads to international markets like Thailand on April 21.
Before I Wake stars Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Thomas Jane (“Hung”), Annabeth Gish (“Pretty Little Liars”), Dash Mihok (“Ray Donovan”), and Jacob Tremblay (Room).
Synopsis:
In this intense and heart-pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Bosworth) and Mark (Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody’s imagination and in the next the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody’s nightmares.
