Italy Braces for Fantasy Horror Award Event
March 19-21, Orvieto Italy – You think America is the only horror-loving country on the planet? Think again, Sparky. North of Rome in the city of Orvieto, Italians are gearing up for what promises to be one hell of a time. The annual Fantasy Horror Award celebration is a pretty big deal, and they’re pulling out guests and celebs galore to prove it.
According to what I could gather from the site (because it’s in Italian), fans will get to meet the stars and hang with luminaries in the horror genre as well as listen to musical performances and basically tear the town of Orvieto apart. The guest list reads like a who’s who of horror: Dario Argento (if you don’t know who this is, please kick yourself), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Brian Yuzna (Reanimator), Federico Zampaglione (Nero Bifamiliare), Jaume Balaguerò ([Rec]), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Lamberto Bava (Demoni), Milan Todorivic (Zone of the Dead), Carlo Lucarelli (Blu Notte), Nicolas Winding Refn (Valhalla Rising), Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie’s Halloween), and more. Plus, there will be performances headlined by the O.J. (that’s Original Jason), Ari Lehman, and his band First Jason.
For more details visit the Fantasy Horror Award website and book your flight to Italy. Ari will also be sending us his “Jason’s Journal” entries about the whole experience, so keep an eye out for that!
