J.J. Abrams-Produced God Particle Eyes John Krasinski
You know you’re in store for quality when a project has the name J.J. Abrams attached to it, which is why we’re looking forward to the upcoming sci-fi flick God Particle. Abrams will produce through his Bad Robot banner, with Julius Onah directing, and today brings some more casting news.
Per Variety, Josh Krasinski (“The Office,” 13 Hours) is in early talks to co-star with David Oyelowo (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Selma) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Concussion, Jupiter Ascending). Krasinski would play one of the astronauts.
Originally set up at Paramount InSurge before its shuttering, the long-in-development film takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges all they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for their survival.
The film will hit theaters on February 24, 2017, with production scheduled to start sometime in the second quarter of this year.
