The work of Edgar Allan Poe lends itself to many mediums, and as anyone who’s heard the tintinnabulation that so musically wells from the bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells can attest — music is certainly one of them.

According to Variety a CD and DVD of the musical Poe, More Tales of Mystery and Imagination from Alan Parsons Project songwriter Eric Woolfson will be released next month as part of a push to drum up interest in a U.S. staging of the musical.

Poe was first seen in a 2003 showcase that was performed in front of an audience at Abbey Road Studios. The CD and DVD are recordings of that event, which starred Steve Balsamo (Jesus Christ Superstar).

For more info on the project check out the official Poe, More Tales of Mystery and Imagination website here.
