Fresh off the release of his new album Lost Themes II, horror master John Carpenter is gearing up to embark on an epic tour both Stateside and abroad, and we have been absolutely loving the resurgence of his music career. What’s next from Carpenter? Well, let’s just say your ears are about to be real happy.

As reported by Fangoria, Carpenter will soon unload two 12-inch vinyl albums featuring brand new re-recordings of his most iconic movie themes. Hitting shelves on June 17th courtesy of Sacred Bones Records, the first EP will feature full-band re-recordings of the themes for Halloween and Escape from New York, while the second will breathe new life into the themes for Assault on Precinct 13 and The Fog.

Per Fango…

“Each double A-sided record will be available in deluxe limited edition mylar mirrorboard sleeves and as picture discs. Special blue and red vinyl editions of these 12-inch records will be available exclusively at his live performances. Yet for those outside of the vinyl circle, don’t fret: both records will be simultaneously released digitally via Sacred Bones on June 17th as well.”
