Dennis Iliadis Readying to Pay the Ghost
Just days after reporting that Last House on the Left remake director Dennis Iliadis was gearing up to bring us a new spin on the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde tale for Universal, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment volleyed back with an announcement stating that Iliadis has something cooking for them as well!
Variety reports that Iliadis is locked down to serve as director on the upcoming supernatural feature Pay the Ghost.
Pay the Ghost was adapted by Dan Kay from a Tim Lebbon short story and centers upon what happens on Halloween night when a couple’s young son is mysteriously abducted. A year later they begin to sense his presence in frightening ways. A string of terrifying clues draws them to search for the boy throughout New York, where they uncover ancient secrets and discover a vicious, vengeful spirit.
Sidney Kimmel is producing alongside Mark Gordon, Jordan Wynn, and Ian Levy. Jim Tauber is exec producing the film. Pay the Ghost is scheduled to begin filming this summer.
