Second Grimm Up North Horror Festival ConfirmedWith Year 2 of Manchester, England’s premier horror film festival, Grimm Up North, officially confirmed for Halloween weekend, they are now open for film submissions and, in addition, have announced a new location for the 2010 event.

From the Press Release
We’re looking for the best in Horror, Cult, Weird, and Fantastic movies, and if you think this applies to your very own cinematic offspring, then we’d love to hear from you.

Films must be available on professional formats (Blu-ray, Digibeta, HD, or 35mm), and there will be a small charge for submission to help cover administration costs. For all enquiries, please contact info@grimmfest.com.

This year we are also introducing our first set of festival awards that all selected films will automatically be eligible for. This means that you could walk away with a prestigious Golden Scythe for Best Feature, Short, Director, Actor/Actress, or Special Effects or even our much coveted Grimm Audience Award.

In addition, while looking for the perfect venue to house Grimmfest 2010, the promoters stumbled upon Manchester’s Dancehouse Theatre situated on Oxford Road opposite the BBC. The luscious art deco theatre and the building’s haunting hallways contain a range of great onsite facilities and are in close proximity to a large selection of nearby bars with one of Europe’s busiest bus routes on its doorstep.

Keep up-to-date on all the latest via the official Grimm Up North website, befriend them on Facebook, and of course, follow them on Twitter.
