Sony Pictures is doing the old release date shuffle once again, and this time it’s Scott Stewart’s Priest that is getting the bump until later in the year. What a way to treat a servant of God!!!

We reported a while back that the flick was moved from August 20, 2010 to January 14, 2011 in order to have some additional time to punch up the film’s 2D to 3D conversion. Sony announced today, however, that the flick’s latest release date is now March 4th, 2011. Can they get it right? Only time will tell.

The film starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, and Stephen Moyer is an adaptation of a TokyoPop comic book that is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire. Bettany plays a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

These vamps always take things so personally! Check out the first ever footage from the flick below, and look for more soon.
