DVD and Blu-ray Releases: June 14, 2016
It’s good to be able to discuss fictitious horror in order to remove ourselves from the actual horrors of this world. After a rough beginning to the week, thankfully we’ve got another 22 releases dropping this week to distract us a bit.
First off, the week’s biggest name will probably have to be 10 Cloverfield Lane. You can check out John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead on both Blu-ray and DVD this week.
Both Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2 will be available on Collector’s Edition Blu-rays this week. I never understood why some people panned either of these movies. Both were pretty original concepts and had an awesome villain.
Three of our classics this week come from the same series. Ranging from 1978 through 1987, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, and Jaws: The Revenge are all getting the Blu-ray treatment. The other classic on our list is 1971’s Crimson, coming to you on both DVD and Blu-ray.
Pretty much the rest of this week’s list consists of movies from 2015 or 2016, with the exception of 1995’s Sorceress, starring legendary horror icon Linda Blair. Check out all the rest of the titles below, and as always, pleasant viewing, friends. Be good to each other.

Blood on the Reel (2016)
Starring:
Johnny Daggers, Bianca Allaine, Jeffrey Swanson
Synopsis:
I loved the notion of sharing what I had been through to bring the fans my films. I then started thinking about some of the other filmmaker friends mine who had encountered similar problems with their films. It then dawned on me that no one has ever made a documentary premised on what indie filmmakers go through to get their art shown. At times may of us have put our lives and livelihood on the line, not to mention our freedom so that we can bring to you our vision, our heart and soul. I decided that this is a documentary that I need to make. That I was perhaps put here to create. And even if I never make another film again, this documentary would be something that I can always be proud of. With that said, what started out to be an extra DVD feature for the anniversary edition of Samhain: Night Feast soon took on a life of its own. The life that you know know it is Blood On The Reel: The Guts Behind Indie Filmmaking.

It turns out the suspect worked as a newspaper delivery man for the very newspaper the article appeared in.
