Filming Wraps on Thriller Bikini; First Look
It’s never a bad thing when an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker dips his toes into the horror genre, and over twenty years after nabbing a Best Foreign Language Film nod for Before the Rain, Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski is doing just that. Today we’ve got the first look at his Bikini.
Get your mind out of the gutter, will ya?!
Deadline reports that star Condola Rashad (Ruined, Stick Fly, Romeo and Juliet), daughter of actress Phylicia Rashad and one of the most sought-after young stars in the business, just wrapped filming on Bikini for producers Anja Wedell and Munire Armstrong. The shoot took place in Gotham.
Bikini tells the story of a documentary filmmaker and his girlfriend, who take a charismatic but troubled woman (Rashad) into their home, turning their lives upside down.
Will Janowitz, Sarah Goldberg, and Sathya Sridharan co-star.
Manchevski also wrote the script, based on his story, together with W. P. Rosenthal.
