The Twilight Saga: Eclipse to Play the LA Film Fest; Two New Stills
The LA Film Festival has jumped on the Twilight bandwagon and will feature the world premiere screening of the third installment in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. And to celebrate, a new still featuring Bella and Edward has been released.
According to the LA Times organizers are hoping it will serve a larger purpose.
“If we program a movie like ‘Twilight’ that draws audiences that might not otherwise attend film festivals, hopefully we’ll expose them to other cinematic experiences that we think are inspiring,” said festival director Rebecca Yeldham.
Still, fans eager to see ‘Eclipse’ will have to pay for the privilege. Only those festival-goers who purchase one of the top-level passes — which range in cost from $500 to $1,000 — will get inside the Nokia Theatre on June 24.
In Eclipse Bella (Kristen Stewart) once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her friendship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

If you can’t make it to the fest, don’t despair. Director David Slade’s film will be in theatres everywhere on June 30th!
