Blanc/Biehn Productions, formed by Jennifer Blanc-Biehn and her husband/partner, Michael Biehn, has announced new acquisition/distribution deals for three of its signature films, including the long-awaited remake of Hidden in the Woods. We have the details on that along with updates on both The Girl and Altered Perception.

From the Press Release:
The long-awaited Hidden in the Woods remake of the Spanish-language thriller, from acting-producing-directing duo Jennifer Blanc-Biehn and Michael Biehn’s Blanc/Biehn Productions, is slated for a U.S. release through Origin Releasing/eOne at the end of 2016.

Directed by Patricio Valladares (who also helmed the original) from a screenplay adapted by Kevin and Bradley Marcus, the tense thriller stars Michael Biehn, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, William Forsythe, Jeannine Kaspar, Electra Avellan, Chris Browning, Ricco Ross, Andy Mackenzie, Richard Gunn, Caitlin Keats, Grace Powell, Mark Gantt, Cody Hackman, Nick Bateman, and Krzysztof Soszynski. FX work was provided by Vincent Guastini, and the producers include Cody Hackman, Hallie Jordan, and Loris Curci along with Blanc-Biehn.

Synopsis:
Hidden in the Woods tells the story of two sisters who have been raised in isolation, subjected to the torment of their abusive, drug dealing father. When they finally decide to report him to the police, he kills the two officers and is put in jail. But things go from bad to worse when the girls must answer to their Uncle Costello, a psychotic drug kingpin, who shows up looking for his missing merchandise which is hidden in the woods.

These distribution deals will give Biehn and Blanc-Biehn the opportunity to boost their movies’ international viewing audience – and the company’s public profile – as they continue to create quality horror, sci-fi, and action films that tell compelling, emotional stories. This week we're joined by Alex Henes and Matt Merenda, the filmmakers behind the yoga-horror found footage film Mind Body Spirit, which is available on demand and streaming on Shudder and AMC+. We chat about Sarah J. Bartholomew's fantastic performance, the script and more before diving into their childhoods and their very different reactions to horror as a kid.
