Today on VOD: The Intruder Comes Knocking
This weekend is a pretty damn big one for horror, with The Shallows, The Neon Demon, and Swiss Army Man all competing for your box office dollars. The only one I’ve seen, at the time of writing this post, is The Shallows, and I couldn’t possibly recommend it any more if you’re a fan of Jaws and truly kickass shark attack films.
But if you’d rather stay home, I understand. Courtesy of IFC Midnight, Travis Zariwny’s (Cabin Fever) new film Intruder (review) was given a limited theatrical and VOD release today, and it promises to be a home invasion nightmare. You’ll find the plot crunch, poster, and official trailer below!
The film stars Louise Linton, John Robinson, Steven Beckingham, and singer Moby.
Synopsis:
A young woman’s quiet night in becomes a free-fall into fear in this disturbing home invasion thriller. After she lands her dream job, a young cellist (Linton) settles in for a relaxing few days holed up in her apartment—but as a violent storm rages outside, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her every move. Cleverly toying with the rules of suspense, director Travis Zariwny wrings maximum terror from everyone’s worst nightmare: You may not be alone.
