Ghostbusters – Lyft Offering Ecto-1 Rides! Theme Gets Awesome Japanese Cover!
Even if you’re one of those fans who already can’t stand Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, headed to theaters on July 15, you must admit that the film has spawned some pretty cool things. For starters, Ecto Cooler is finally back on store shelves, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been loving all the new toys. Not a bad time to be a fan!
Speaking of which, THR reports today that Lyft will be offering riders the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a ride in the film’s brand new Ecto-1 mobile. Thanks to a partnership with Sony, Lyft users will soon be able to request a ride from the iconic vehicle, ahead of the film’s release.
From the site…
On July 1 and 2, Lyft passengers in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, DC, who request a car via Ghost Mode on the Lyft app receive a free ride in an Ecto-1 used in the film or a replica and the chance to win tickets to the Ghostbusters premiere in Los Angeles.
On another Ghostbusters-related note, Sony Pictures Japan just uploaded a Japanese remix of the classic Ghostbusters theme that’s a whole lot more ear-pleasing than that Fall Out Boy/Missy Elliot cover that hit the net last week, so be sure to dig on those grooves below!
