DVD Signing for Someone’s Knocking at the Door and Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!
One of the most insane directors working on the indie side of the genre nowadays is undoubtedly Chad Ferrin, and on June 5th those of you in and around the Burbank area will have a chance to meet the madman himself along with the stars of his two films Someone’s Knocking at the Door and Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! at a DVD signing to be held at Dark Delicacies.
The signing starts at 2:00 PM, and guests include Chad Ferrin, Noah Segan, Ezra Buzzington, Elina Madison, Vernon Wells, Joe Pilato, Lew Temple, Sean Cain, and Timothy Muskatell. Below are the synopses of each film:
Someone’s Knocking at the Door Synopsis
In this genre-defying grindhouse throwback, a group of drug-addled, sexually deviant medical students are systematically terrorized by Wilma and John Hopper. The Hoppers, serial murderers and rapists, mysteriously return from the 1970s and bring horrifying psychedelia with them. With comedy, subversion, satire, and true gore, the students must face escalating attacks, shocking circumstances, and visceral disgust.
Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! Synopsis
Remington, a murderous grifter cons his way into a mother’s heart, putting on a fatherly facade to her cherished son, Nicholas. But the second she leaves for work, a torrent of abuse rains upon the gentle boy. Remington heads out for some hookers and invites his child molester/drug dealer buddy over to abuse Nicholas. In the meantime the only comfort the boy gets is from confiding in his new pet bunny. Debauchery is at hand but Nicholas is nowhere to be found, and someone wearing the mask of the beloved holiday hopper shows up ready to deliver a blood-splattered night of unspeakable carnage.
In addition, at the same time screenwriters Matt Chernov and David Rosiak (with others to be announced) will be signing the Hard Ride to Hell DVD.
If you plan to attend, take note that Dark Delicacies has a new location: 3512 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA 91505 (two blocks east of Hollywood Way and one block from Porto’s Bakery). Hope to see you there!
