Taken Director Pierre Morel Boards Big Stone Grid
Back in 2012 Sony acquired Bone Tomahawk writer/director S. Craig Zahler’s script Big Stone Grid, and at the time it was looking like Michael Mann was going to direct the thriller. For whatever reason those plans fell through, and now another director has come on board the project. Read on for the latest!
Via Deadline, Pierre Morel (Taken) has inked a deal to direct Big Stone Grid, being described as a high-concept suspense thriller. The plot is under wraps but is believed to revolve around a pair of New York City detectives caught in a cat-and-mouse game with serial killers who have themselves been extorted into committing heinous crimes.
Casting is under way, and shooting is expected to begin early next year.
Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, and Ara Keshishian are now producing alongside Adam Fields and Josh Bratman. Lotus (Z for Zacharia, Replicas) will finance and handle worldwide sales.
