Hone Your Zombie Killing Skills for Crackdown 2

default-featured-image

The original Crackdown for the Xbox 360 was a fun little open world sci-fi shooter, but it was hardly something that we’d cover around these parts. The upcoming sequel, however, is a completely different kind of beast riddled with zombies, mutants, and more. Oh, happy day!

That’s right, kids. In the game a zombie-like virus infects many of the inhabitants of Pacific City, and when the sun goes down, all hell breaks loose.

So what happened in-between the first game and its sequel that made things take a turn for the horrific? Check out the first three of a series of five webcomics below. Things get so wonderfully nasty in them.

Look for more soon! Crackdown 2, developed by Ruffian Games and Microsoft Game Studios, hits stores on July 6th, 2010. Order your copy by clicking below.

Game Features

  • Four-player co-op.
  • Pacific City’s map remains similar: The same roads and many of the same buildings as before – although some have been changed or demolished.
  • Civilians have responded to the zombie threat by arming their cars, so players will encounter “un-scripted” battles between mutants and NPCs.
  • More varied mêlée attacks
  • Players can call in supplies at any time.
  • A “more precise” targeting system
  • Skill-based rewards
  • 16-player deathmatch with a Call of Duty 4-style progressions system.
