From the celebrated imagination of Dean Koontz comes a powerful reworking of one of the classic stories of all time as Dynamite Entertainment announces Storm Surge, the complete, in-continuity story set within the universe of Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein novel series. The upcoming graphic novel pairs the New York Times bestselling author again with co-writers Chuck Dixon (Seal Team Six) and Rik Hoskin (Brandon Sanderson’s White Sand) and artist Andres Ponce.

Frankenstein: Storm Surge will be available for sale this coming October in both standard and limited signed editions, priced at $24.99 and $39.99, respectively.

From the back cover of the upcoming graphic novel: “While healing from a beating she suffered at the hands of Victor Helios (the madman once known as Dr. Frankenstein and her own maker), Erika Five decides to leave the comfort of her glassed-in porch and bottle of cognac to explore Victor’s secret home lab, which she believes is an antechamber to something more sinister. With the help of a decapitated head named Karloff, Erika finds a secret lab and within discovers that Victor’s experiments are not limited to his attempts at creating a race of super-immortals. No, he has constructed a mirror-like portal to another universe… one of infinite realities that Victor is trying to bridge for his own horrible reasons!”

“Dean Koontz is a true master of storytelling with a list of bestsellers that is too long to list,” says Dynamite CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci. “Working with Dean and his team to expand upon his Frankenstein story has been just as rewarding for fans as it has for us as a publisher.”

The Frankenstein: Storm Surge hardcover will be distributed to booksellers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Indigo via Dynamite’s partnership with Diamond Book Distributors. For comic book specialty stores, Frankenstein: Storm Surge will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ August 2016 Previews catalog, corresponding to release in October. Fans are encouraged to reserve copies with their local comic book retailers or bookstores. Frankenstein: Storm Surge will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.
