Monster High Finds Writers! Horror Fans Shriek in Terror!
Remember those prissy little horror dolls we covered a couple of days ago? Yeah, Mattel’s Monster High! Well, it turns out there’s now a movie on the way, and it’s already found its writers!
According to The Hollywood Reporter writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville”, Shanghai Noon, Spider-Man 2) have signed on to write Monster High for Universal based on Mattel’s new line of “Fashionably Frightening” figures!
The upcoming monster musical (think part Beetlejuice and part The Addams Family) is set at Monster High and features the spawn of famous monsters including Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man undergoing the trials and tribulations of high school.
That’s not all, though … Mattel is looking to really build out this new in-house brand so you can expect Monster High books, webisodes, and animation as well as toys, apparel, and accessories.
