Set Photos Provide Clues of American Horror Story Season 6 Setting
It’s taking the powers-that-be an unusually long time to reveal the setting of the upcoming sixth season of “American Horror Story”; heck, we don’t even have the official title yet! But taking into account several set photos that were revealed by TMZ today, it very well could be “American Horror Story: Roanoke” or “American Horror Story: Lost Colony” because… well, just look for yourselves!
As TMZ mentions, the first shots from the “AHS” set in Santa Clarita, CA, provide a HUGE hint about the theme. Check out the first image below with one word etched into a tree: CROATOAN.
If you were paying attention in American History class, this is no doubt a reference to the Roanoke Colony, also known as the “Lost Colony.” Here’s the skinny per Wikipedia: The Roanoke Colony was established on Roanoke Island in what is today’s Dare County, North Carolina, United States. It was a late 16th-century attempt by Queen Elizabeth I to establish a permanent English settlement. The colony was founded by Sir Walter Raleigh. The colonists disappeared during the Anglo-Spanish War, three years after the last shipment of supplies from England. Their disappearance gave rise to the nickname “The Lost Colony.” There has been no conclusive evidence as to what happened to the colonists.
