Announced last year, the indie horror game Hunger, from developer Tarsier Studios, has been picked up by publisher Bandai Namco, who have re-branded it under the name Little Nightmares.

Prepare to meet your childhood fears when we see more of Little Nightmares at Gamescom next week.

From the Press Release:
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. announces a worldwide publishing agreement with Swedish video game developer Tarsier Studios for a brand new game called LITTLE NIGHTMARES. LITTLE NIGHTMARES presents a dark, yet whimsical tale that will have players confront their childhood fears as they help a girl dressed in a yellow raincoat escape the jaws of The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal!

“We are so thrilled to work together with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, a company that takes great pride in their work and goes that extra mile to create amazing game experiences.” said Andreas Johnsson, Business Developer & Deputy CEO, Tarsier Studios “From day one we’ve felt their passion and drive to help make LITTLE NIGHTMARES everything it can be.”

More details about LITTLE NIGHTMARES will be revealed at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany (August 17-21), so stay tuned!
