Gamescom 2016: Little Nightmares Trailer Will Give You Nightmares
Bandai Namco showed off a new trailer for the recently announced horror title Little Nightmares at Gamescom, and as expected, it looks creepy as hell.
From the Press Release:
Leading interactive entertainment media publisher and developer BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. today announces LITTLE NIGHTMARES, a new adventure title that places players in the role of “Six,” a helpless little girl dressed in a yellow raincoat on a mission to escape from The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next juicy meal. Developed by Tarsier Studios, LITTLE NIGHTMARES is set to be released digitally for the Americas in spring 2017 on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
LITTLE NIGHTMARES presents a grim, shadow-filled adventure through an interactive storyline, outstanding sound design, and a unique art style that is sure to deliver eerie chills and goosebumps. Players will discover that LITTLE NIGHTMARES blurs the lines between dreams and nightmares as they explore The Maw in an effort to escape its nightmarish confines. Gruesome enemies and environments can be found at every turn on this strange vessel; the fate of Six lies in the skillful hands of players.
“It’s taken us about 10 years to come to this moment, to reveal the most exciting game in our company history, a dark, thrilling tale of grotesque misfits!” said Andreas Johnsson – Business Developer & Deputy CEO at Tarsier Studios “Since publishing the teaser last year, we’ve worked day and night to bring the game to life; and now we are beyond excited to show our first original game at Gamescom, LITTLE NIGHTMARES.”
“With LITTLE NIGHTMARES the team at Tarsier Studios is creating a game experience that tackles a subject everyone can identify with, childhood fears and nightmares,” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “We’re looking forward to LITTLE NIGHTMARES giving players a heart-pounding adventure, some chills, and maybe a few screams along the way.”
Overcome your childhood fears with LITTLE NIGHTMARES for the first time at Gamescom 2016, which will be displayed in BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe’s booth located in the Gamescom Entertainment Area, Hall 8, Booth B20.
