Enter The Hell of Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Die Hölle in New Trailer
Stefan Ruzowitzky, whose 2007 wartime drama The Counterfeiters won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, has a new project cooking; and the recently released trailer looks like our kind of poison.
Die Hölle (original title: The Hell), which was written by Martin Ambrosch, sees a woman in Vienna witness a murder from a notorious serial killer, who marks her as his next victim to tie up loose ends. Violetta Schurawlow and Tobias Moretti star, and it opens in German-speaking territories next year.
Ruzowitzky describes the Allegro Film production as “the fastest and toughest Austrian thriller made in recent years, full of magnificent stunts and breath-taking tension!” Allegro produced in cooperation with The Amazing Film Company and with the support of the Austrian Film Institute, ORF (as part of a movie/television agreement), Filmfonds Vienna, Filmstandort Vienna, ZDF German Filmförderfond, and FilmFernsehFonds Bavaria.
Ruzowitzky is also currently working on the zombie flick Patient Zero, and we await both films with bated breath.
