San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Repo! Screening and a New Lesson from The Tutor
Cult favorite Repo! The Genetic Opera returns to the San Diego Comic-Con with a late night showing on Saturday, July 24th, along with a new never-before-seen lesson from “The Tutor”, Terrance Zdunich (GraveRobber from Repo!)’s online serial killer art course.
Here’s a little history on “The Tutor“:
Zdunich, who co-wrote with Darren Smith the original Repo! stage play and the script on which Darren Bousman’s film is based, recently launched a new project. “Painting a Still Life with Terrance Zdunich” is a series of online how-to videos, a seemingly innocent collection of art lessons. Pupils will notice, however, that their instructor’s methods are … less than traditional and, like the lives of his characters, deceptively darker than imagined.
For those of you who’ve been skipping class, “The Tutor”‘s first six lessons have been conveniently compiled into one six-minute YouTube clip. Watch it below, and learn how to paint a straight line, how to pose a subject, and … how to get away with murder.
As for the “Tutor” and Repo! The Genetic Opera Comic-Con screening, here are the details:
