San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Artwork for Sony’s Priest and Resident Evil
Sony Pictures is making a splash at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and we’ve got some images from the booth that’s home to two of their biggest genre offerings – Priest and Resident Evil: Afterlife.
Priest is an adaptation of a TokyoPop comic book that is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire. Paul Bettany plays a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. It’s undergoing a 2D to 3D conversion as we speak.
Look for more on Scott Stewart’s Priest starring Bettany, Cam Gigandet (The Unborn, Pandorum, The Roommate, Twilight), Madchen Amick, Stephen Moyer (“True Blood”), Maggie Q., Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif, and Alan Dale hopefully soon.
Catch Priest in theatres May 13th, 2011.
Paul W.S. Anderson’s upcoming 3D Resident Evil installment, Resident Evil: Afterlife, will be in theatres a bit earlier: September 10th, 2010.
Official Synopsis:
In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich) continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive, the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
