From the Press Release:
Boston-based Immersive Productions and Jason Egan, creator of Fright Dome Las Vegas, today announced Ghost Ship Harbor, a new immersive Halloween attraction on the USS Salem in Quincy, Mass.

With more than 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor terror experiences, Ghost Ship Harbor will horrify and petrify fans with interactive and twisted experiences. Ghost Ship Harbor will be based on the premise that a plague has taken over, and to ensure survival, civilians must visit the USS Salem before the ship departs on October 31st.

The attraction will feature three distinct haunted houses, including Contagion, where those who are trying to flee will be required to undergo a thorough examination before they are allowed to board the ship; Plague, where chaos ensues once the virus has been discovered onboard the only ship that can save humanity; and Ouija, the true paranormal VIP experience that will explore the truly haunted side of the ship.

Ghost Ship Harbor will also feature chilling scare zones and a macabre food village. Ghoulish professional actors, intense costumes, and props designed to shock and frighten all who dare to visit will provide an experience of sheer terror from start to finish.

The USS Salem is a historic, iconic, and creepy location already well documented as a haunted destination. The ship, often called “The Sea Witch,” once served as a hospital and morgue following the 1953 Ionian Earthquake. Today many believe spirits have lingered onboard ever since. and hundreds of ghost sightings have been documented. The USS Salem was featured on the television show “Ghost Hunters” and featured in the book 13 Most Haunted in Massachusetts by author Sam Baltrusis. The ship was also featured in the 2016 film The Finest Hours produced by Walt Disney Studios.

“For many years, Greater Boston has lacked a haunted destination for the Halloween season, one that delivers on a promise of sheer terror,” said Matt DiRoberto, founder of Immersive Productions and Ghost Ship Harbor. “By partnering with Jason Egan and the team from Fright Dome, we are creating a destination event that will be something New England has never experienced before.”

Jason Egan and the creators of Fright Dome have more than 15 years of experience in building extreme haunted attractions. Named as one of the top 10 haunted houses in the nation by USA TODAY’s 10 Best for 2015 and recognized as one of the nation’s best haunted attractions for 2014 by Travel Channel, Fright Dome has been scaring Las Vegas visitors for fourteen years, setting a standard for haunted experience worldwide.

“I am very excited to launch this haunted attraction in such a unique and iconic location,” said Fright Dome owner Jason Egan. “Over the years, my team has created some of the top Halloween events in the world, from Las Vegas to Hong Kong. To launch in a new market like Boston and work in a location that is notoriously haunted is amazing.”
