Creepy New Artwork and Trailer
A trailer has finally arrived for Creepy (review), which premiered at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Check it out along with the artwork!
Hidetoshi Nishijima, Yuko Takeuchi, Teruyuki Kagawa, Haruna Kawaguchi, and Masahiro Higashide star in the film from Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Pulse).
Creepy, director Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s breathtaking psychological thriller, will be released in selected cinemas nationwide (UK and Ireland) and Digital HD from 25 November 2016.
Based on a novel by Yutaka Maekawa, Creepy follows ex-police detective and criminal psychologist Takakura, who moves to a quiet suburban town seeking peace and quiet but soon begins to suspect that his neighbor is a psychopath who comes into people’s households and takes over their lives.
Kurosawa, who won Best Director in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival 2015 for his elegiac drama Journey to the Shore, returns to the genre in which he made his name with this “creepy” psychological thriller. Bringing in a great ensemble cast of leading Japanese actors and actresses, Kurosawa, who also co-wrote the screenplay, has been quoted as saying: “Each actor exudes a mysterious delicacy and ferocity, which the camera has somehow been able to capture. The end result is this breathtaking thriller.”
With its gripping suspense and riveting story, Creepy marks Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s return to the horror genre with a horrific thriller so intense that audiences around the world will shiver in fear.
