Horror is kicking ass on the small screen at the moment, and one could say that FX has been leading the pack. With both “American Horror Story” and “The Strain” on their schedule, the network has been doing a bang up job catering to us fans, and they’ve got another horror series in the works!

Per Deadline, FX is now developing a show titled “Basilisk,” a horror-drama from former “The Bastard Executioner” and “The Walking Dead” writer Curtis Gwinn and The Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence. Written by Gwinn, it’s being described as a gritty horror series.

“Basilisk” follows an atheistic college therapist and her computer-genius patient as they find themselves pulled into a plot to awaken a malevolent, god-like artificial intelligence.

Gwinn and Lawrence executive producing with 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff and Oly Obst.
