Daniel Zovatto Experiencing Lucky McKee’s Misfortune
Actor Daniel Zovatto made his film debut in the 2013 creature feature Beneath, and he’s spent much of his career thus far playing around in the horror genre. More recently, Zovatto starred in It Follows, “Fear the Walking Dead,” and Don’t Breathe, and up next he’s teaming with fan fave director Lucky McKee!
Screen Daily reports that Zovatto (below) has joined John Cusack in Misfortune, a chase thriller being directed by McKee (May, The Woman). He will play one of three friends who stumble upon a treasure trove in the wilderness.
The friends must deal with a violent embezzler (Cusack) who will stop at nothing to recover his ill-gotten gains.
Willa Fitzgerald (“Scream”) also stars in the film, which begins shooting in October.
Jared Butler and Lars Norberg wrote the script. Lee Nelson, David Buelow and David Tish of Envision Media Arts are producing.
