Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness Teases Some Spooky! First Image from Insidious?
One of the most badass parts about the Toronto International Film Festival is its Midnight Madness programming line-up of ten genre-themed films spread out over ten maniacal nights, and things are already looking appropriately frightful. Oh, the joys of being a Canuck!
The ultra spooky image that you see below is teased on the Midnight Madness section of the TIFF website. It doesn’t list what movie it’s from or even if it’s from any movie at all; however, if one had to guess, and mind you, this is purely a guess, the smart money would say that it is the first still from James Wan’s upcoming scare-fest, Insidious.
Wan reunites with Saw co-writer Leigh Whannell on the film, which follows a young family that makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.
TIFF will be revealing its official Midnight Madness schedule soon, and we have some shouts out to Wan so we will all know soon enough. One thing you have to admit though … the image below sure does fit the bill for malevolent entity, does it not?
