The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia Gets His Own Stamp

Geralt of Rivia has made it big. The star of The Witcher novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, which were later adapted into the hugely acclaimed video game trilogy from Polish developer CD Projekt RED, has become such an icon of the country that he’s now being featured on his very own stamp.
Poczta Polska, which is the biggest postal service in Poland will issue 180,000 copies of the stamp, which depicts Geralt as he appears on the cover of The Witcher 3.
This isn’t the first time that Poland has proudly used The Witcher series to represent itself. Not only was Barack Obama presented with a copy of The Witcher 2 from Polish prime minister Donald Tusk, but he even talked about the game in the video below:
