We’ve been talking about Emmy-nominated choreographer Glenn Douglas Packard’s first feature, Pitchfork, for a while now; and this weekend the news arrived that Uncork’d Entertainment has nabbed distro rights for the film with plans to release it in early 2017.  To celebrate, they’ve provided us with a new still.

From the Press Release:
Home entertainment and theatrical film distributor Uncork’d Entertainment has acquired director Glenn Douglas Packard’s highly anticipated horror spectacle PITCHFORK. Produced by Packard, Darryl F. Gariglio, and Noreen Marriott with associate producer Shaun Cairo, and boasting a screenplay by Gariglio and Packard, PITCHFORK introduces audiences to a horrifying new movie monster.

“Glenn [Douglas Packard] has created a monster for the ages,” says Uncork’d Entertainment president Keith Leopard. “The film is nothing short of chilling, and I’m very excited to be teaming up with Glenn and the team to bring it to audiences across the globe.”

“It truly is a dream of mine to have Uncork’d as our distributor since they are the best out there in their industry for the horror genre,” Packard adds. “Keith Leopard has gotten to know and understand my character Pitchfork.”

PITCHFORK is set to bow early next year.

The ensemble cast includes Daniel Wilkinson in the title role with Lindsey Nicole, Brian Raetz, Ryan Moore, Celina Beach, Keith Webb, Sheila Leason, Nicole Dambro, Vibhu Raghave, Rachel Carter, Andrew Dawe-Collins, Carol Ludwick, Derek Reynolds, Addisyn Wallace, and Anisbel Lopez.

Keep your eyes on the Pitchfork Facebook page for updates.

Synopsis:
Having recently shared a life-changing secret with his family, Hunter recruits his friends to come with him from New York to the farm where he grew up as he faces his parents for the first time. As the college students enjoy the fresh air of Michigan farm country, an older, more dangerous secret slowly emerges.

While Hunter navigates a new place within his conservative family, a vicious creature from their past descends on the farm, putting the unsuspecting city kids in mortal danger.

Ep. 114: The Guest: “The Tale of a Very Sexy Stalk of Corn”
Ket tells Kim about The Guest starring Dan Stevens and Maika Monroe. Ket picked it to ogle Dan Stevens and that mission… was accomplished. You know what mission wasn’t accomplished? Filming the right scenes in order for Kim to share in the ogling. Apologies all around. The girls also discuss how they would like to be strangled and Ket literally needs a cold shower.
