Isopods Bring the Living Dead to The Bay

Anyone familiar with the hideous undersea creatures called Isopods should be aware of one thing … no good can come of their existence. True, I don’t know a single actual thing about them but I hate bugs. I hate things that look like bugs, and these things are giant sea bugs. That’s good enough for me to loathe them. So please, let me live my life quietly without knowing the true purpose of these monsters.

Screen Daily reports that long-time writer/director/producer Barry Levinson has secretly begun shooting a new zombie eco-thriller in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Entiled The Bay (formerly Isopod), the pic begins during the aftermath of a viral outbreak on the Eastern Seaboard. The story is told via a series of recordings on camera phones, 911 calls, and other scraps of video as the town of Claridge, Maryland, is engulfed by chaos.

Paranormal Activity and Area 51 director Oren Peli has signed on to produce alongside Jason Blum (PA, Insidious), Steven Schneider (PA, Insidious), and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Skyline, Insidious).

That being said … take one look at these fuckers known as Isopods below and tell me they’re not evil! Just try and deny it!
