Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location Possibly Delayed For Being Too Dark
Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon posted an update on the Steam page for the latest game in the series, Sister Location, explaining that it might be delayed for being too dark and that he might have to rework it to make it more suitable for kids.
Yeah, because it’s not like it’s, y’know, a horror game or anything like that. Even if it is aimed more towards a family friendly demographic, you don’t go into a Five Nights at Freddy’s game not expecting there to be horror elements. Anyway, we’ll let you know if it does ultimately end up being delayed or not.
“Hey guys, I wanted to post an announcement that this game might be postponed, and I’m not really sure when it would be released,” wrote Cawthon.
There are certain plot elements that are very dark, to the point where I sometimes feel sick. There would be no easy fix to this. I either release it Friday as it is, or I delay it by several months to completely rework the plot into something kid-friendly. I’m unsure what I’m going to do. As always, thanks for your support. I will have an update about my decision soon.
