Okay, so the tally thus far … The Walking Dead? Check! Locke and Key? Check! Preacher? Eh, not so much, but at the very least there’s talk of bringing yet another much beloved graphic novel into the live action arena!

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog, Sandman, the Neil Gaiman-penned comic book series considered a seminal work in the medium, is in the early stages of being developed into a TV series over at Warner Brothers.

So who would be taking the reins? THR reports that “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke is at the top of the list for hopeful talent coming on board. We like the sound of this already!

Sandman tells the tale of Morpheus, the Lord of the Dreaming, a deity who personifies dreams. The book began in the horror realm but quickly made its mark in fantasy and mythology as Gaiman introduced the Endless, a group of powerful brothers and sisters named Destiny, Death, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium (as well as Dream).

Look for more on this one ASAP!
