Rest in Peace: Comic Artist Steve Dillon
Some really sad news has come in this weekend, as Steve Dillon’s brother, Glyn, confirmed the renowned comic artist’s death earlier this morning; thus far the cause hasn’t been revealed, but it is known that Dillon passed away in New York City.
Dillon, whose exact birth date is unclear, was born sometime around 1962 in Bedfordshire, England. He got his start at the young age of 16 and is best known for his work on Hellblazer, Preacher, and The Punisher with writer Garth Ennis. He also lent his talents to the likes of Doctor Who, Judge Dredd, Bullseye, and Wolverine.
Below are just a few of the tributes and remembrances of Dillon from social media. We’d like to add our own sincere condolences to Steve’s family, his friends, and the other members of the comic community.
His images are certainly burned into our memories and will live on for many, many years to come. Rest in peace… another taken from us much too soon…
