Lost’s Maggie Grace Joins The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
Casting news for another new The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn character has just broken, and it’s a very familiar face to a lot of Dread Central readers: Maggie Grace of “Lost” and Taken fame.
According to Deadline NY Grace will play a new vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s Bella [in] the role of Irina, a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.
Part 1 of Breaking Dawn (which will be filmed simultaneously with Part 2 in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Vancouver, British Columbia, over the next year starting this fall) is slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011. Part 2 will follow a year later on November 16, 2012.
Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice, and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.
