A new trailer has arrived for SXSW darling Pet (review). Check it out right here, right now!

Pet Release Details:
Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films have acquired the psychological thriller PET, directed by Carles Torrens and written by Jeremy Slater. The film stars Dominic Monaghan (“Lost,” The Lord of the Rings series), Ksenia Solo (Black Swan, “Lost Girl”), and Jennette McCurdy (“iCarly,” “Sam & Cat”). PET had its World Premiere at the 2016 South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin. Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the film in U.S. theaters and on demand on December 2, 2016, and it will be available on DVD on December 27.

In the vein of Hard Candy and Gone Girl, PET is a psychological thriller that deals with the themes of identity, loneliness, selflessness, and what it means to truly belong to another. It’s told through the prism of two isolated people, Seth and Holly, seemingly different, yet more similar than they even knew. PET is at its heart a dark love story that examines how much one is willing to sacrifice in the name of love.

Director Carles Torrens stated, “I am thrilled at the opportunity to share PET with audiences worldwide. Samuel Goldwyn Films and Orion Releasing approached us with the same enthusiasm we had about the film, and we are thrilled to work with them on the project.”

“PET transcends all of the expectations that suspense-thriller fans have been desensitized to,” said Peter Goldwyn, President of Samuel Goldwyn Films. “Carles Torrens is great at this genre, and we could not be more excited to bring his film to moviegoers.”

PET was written by Jeremy Slater and directed by Carles Torrens, with Sean Gowrie as executive producer. PET was produced by Revolver Picture Company’s Nick Phillips and Kelly Martin Wagner and Magic Lantern’s Carles Torrens.
