It’s a Wrap for Patrick Rea’s Nailbiter; New Still Released
Director Patrick Rea dropped us a line with an update on his upcoming sophomore feature, Nailbiter, and also provided us with a new still to celebrate the news that he has officially completed principal photography on the film in the Kansas City area.
Nailbiter tells the story of a mother and three daughters who get caught in a Kansas tornado and are forced to take shelter in a storm cellar. They become trapped and discover they are not alone.
The film stars Erin McGrane, Meg Saricks, Sally Spurgeon, and Emily Boresow and is directed by Patrick Rea from a script by Kendal Sinn. The director of photography is frequent collaborator Hanuman Brown Eagle. Brown Eagle also produced with Ryan Jones, and Aaron Laue is executive producer. It’s a co-project of SenoReality Pictures and Ministry Machine Productions in collaboration with Free State Studios.
Post production has been under way for the last few months and will hopefully be completed in April as Nailbiter is set to premiere in the spring. A sequel script for Nailbiter II is already in the early stages, with Rea and Sinn handling writing duties. It would pick up immediately where the first film ends.
