Whilst most Attack on Titan games up to this point have been mostly action-driven affairs, the upcoming Escape from the Brink of Death from publisher Koei Tecmo looks like it will employ a much slower, more suspenseful approach, more akin with classic survival horror titles.
The teaser below has a sort of Outlast vibe to it, don’t ya think?
After seeking refuge in an old castle to escape a Titan onslaught, the game has you joining forces with a mysterious stranger to escape the foreboding fortress. It launches on the 3DS in Japan on March 30, 2017, in both standard and “Treasure Box” editions bursting with collectibles.
