In Hello Neighbor There’s Something Sinister Going on in the House Next Door

Admit it… they may live literally closest to us, but I’ll bet that the majority of you know next to nothing about your neighbors. For all you know, they could be carrying out nefarious activities literally within breathing distance of your home.

tinyBuild has stuck gold with its incredibly simple, yet hugely effective premise for Hello, Neighbor!, a game in which you uncover unspeakable horrors in the house next door. It’s one of those “Damn, why didn’t I think of that?” kind of ideas.

A brand new trailer and gameplay video have both released for the hotly anticipated title, which hits PC next year. Its official website says that news of a possible release on consoles is not being discussed at this time, which pretty much means that a console release is inevitable.

The Pixar-style visuals are kinda neat, too.

Synopsis:
Hello, Neighbor! is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor’s house to figure out what horrible secrets he’s hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move.

Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There’ll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

  • Suspenseful horror gameplay (not jump scares) that focuses on sneaking around your neighbor’s house
  • Constantly evolving experience where the Neighbor’s AI counters your moves and learns from what you do
  • Sandbox-style gameplay with plenty of environmental interaction and physics

Hello, Neighbor! is coming in summer 2017 and is currently in Alpha.
