First Look at Sarah French in VHS-Shot Axe of Violence
It never ceases to amaze me how all things old become new again. Retro has been cool for a while now, but this latest film, Axe of Violence, which was shot on VHS(!), takes things to another level. Check it out!
From the Press Release:
Don’t bother checking your HDMI cable; no need to restart your streaming device because no amount of digital upscaling will get rid of the tracking issues of this horror…
Production recently began on the horror short AXE OF VIOLENCE, directed by aspiring trash filmmaker Matt Watts and his company Moribund Media. The movie was actually shot on VHS, not to capitalize on any recent retro-trends, but as a way to authentically connect with the late 80’s/early 90’s wave of independently produced horror movies.
AXE OF VIOLENCE stars scream queen Sarah French (Zombie Pirates, Shriek of the Sasquatch) and features practical gore effects and a distinctive SOV style. It is currently slated to be part of an anthology titled FATAL PREMONITIONS, which will appear next year, and may receive an excruciatingly limited standalone release prior.
Synopsis:
A group of friends take a shortcut though the backwoods on their way to a vacation cabin, but an unfortunate vehicle failure leaves them stranded on the roadside. But they are not as secluded as they think, as they are soon stalked by a masked killer…
