Syfy’s little zombie show that could, “Z Nation,” will keep right on giving through 2017 as THR is reporting that the NBCUniversal-owned cable network has renewed the zombie apocalypse drama for a fourth season.

Airing on Fridays, “Z Nation” has been a sturdy performer for Syfy. Its most recent episode to see a live-plus-three-day lift reported aired on November 18th. The drama starring Kellita Smith, DJ Qualls, and Keith Allan averaged 1.2 million viewers, with nearly 500,000 of them in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo. Since its premiere, “Z Nation” regularly ranks among cable’s top 10 most-watched scripted series.

Produced by The Asylum, the series co-stars Anastasia Baranova, Russell Hodgkinson, Nat Zang, and Emilio Rivera. Karl Schaefer serves as showrunner.

The “Z Nation” Season 3 finale is set to air December 16th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Syfy.
