Behold Wes Anderson’s The Witch(!)

Robert Eggers’ masterful The Witch (review) was hit or miss with fans who say they either loved or just simply endured it. It’s slow-burn gloomy pace surely wasn’t for everyone, but one filmmaker who has tons of mass appeal is Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou). Wonder what The Witch might have been like if he directed it?

Anderson’s quirky and charming style is the polar opposite of what’s on display in Eggers’ dark film, and we guess maybe that’s why the good folks over at CineFix decided to combine the two into an interesting little trailer. Check it out below, and giggle at the possibilities.
